Combined MD Degrees
Many of our students choose to pursue joint degrees, combining a medical or scientific education with other fields of study.
Knowledge of multiple disciplines qualifies our students to fill unique and often influential roles upon graduation. The Tufts School of Medicine and the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences offer a wide range of curricula and programs that meed the demand for today's radically changed health care and research environment.

MSTP Program
The Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, in conjunction with the Tufts Medical School, offers the opportunity for qualified individuals to pursue a combined M.D./Ph.D. degree through a Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) funded by the National Institutes of Health.
The program is designed for students who want to pursue careers that include both research and clinical practice. Students receive rigorous scientific training in addition to full academic and clinical training in the practice of medicine. A complete description of this program can be found on the MSTP web site.
