Mojdeh has a PhD in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research covers topics in population dynamics of infectious diseases, early detection of infectious disease outbreaks, transients and population vulnerability in health and disease, mathematical modeling of complex biological and social systems, and evolutionary biology. She is currently directing the project in biomathematics and infectious disease surveillance at the MITRE Corporation. She is also a research affiliate of the MIT Department of Computer Science.
