Dr. Kah Loon Ng is trained as a graph theorist and discrete mathematician. He is interested in applications of Discrete Mathematics (especially Graph Theory and Combinatorics) to Social and Biological problems, trying to create accurate models real-world problems that are mathematically and computationally tractable. His current research includes the modeling of evolution of social networks (humans or otherwise), the study of epidemics in a network and various intervention strategies, relationships between various centrality measures in a network and how one can use information about these measures to infer on the structure of a huge network.
You can view his personal site and his department website at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Ng is currently working at the Center for Discrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science (DIMACS).
