Research Focus Operational research on HIV care and treatment in Kenya and South Africa; HIV treatment strategies including modified directly observed therapy (MDOT); HIV outcomes research including nutritional, weight loss and body composition issues in HIV; discrete event modeling (microsimulations) for long-term HIV outcomes and cost effectiveness analyses, and; geographic translation of research findings across disparate population settings.
