The Family Medicine Division is actively involved in patient care and clinical teaching with an emphasis on the principles and practice of outpatient primary care and managed health care. The division also has clinical faculty in a variety of community settings within the Boston area. It has a substantial role in the Tufts Family Medicine Residency Program at Cambridge Health Alliance, and affiliations with the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence and the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine.  We also welcome our new relationship with Family Medicine faculty at Main Medical Center in Portland, Maine. The diversity of these programs, with service to urban, suburban, and rural populations, and a strong clinical base represents a major strength for the division and department.
