Our four main academic divisions are:

Global Health

Global health is an interdisciplinary field that fuses relevant disciplines to the end of improving the health and welfare of people globally. The field takes full advantage of international comparisons and lessons that can be applied both at home or internationally. Our goal is to prepare our graduates to be full participants in the effort to identify and address global health issues.

Tufts University is a particularly rich environment for the study of global health. Core values include active citizenship and internationalism. In addition to the many faculty and staff in the public health and medical faculties who are engaged in global health activities, many other Schools at Tufts are similarly involved. These include, at the graduate level, the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, the Fletcher School of International Law and Diplomacy, the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Engineering, and the School of Dental Medicine. At the undergraduate level, International Relations is the largest concentration, bespeaking the importance of a global perspective at Tufts.
