Student Council Bylaws
Article IV: Committees of the Council
Section 1: The committees of the Council shall be of two types: Permanent and
Special.
Section 2: The permanent Committees of the Council shall be as follows:
A: Student Council Funding Committee (Article VIII)
B: Student Council Bylaws Committee (Article VII)
Section 3: Special Committees of the Council may be established at any time
and for such purposes, as the council deems appropriate by a majority vote of
the Council.
Section 4: All Committees of the Council shall conduct their business in accordance
with the Bylaws of the Council unless specifically exempted in their mandate.
Section 5: In establishing a committee, the Council shall specifically identify:
A: The committee's purpose and goal.
B: The makeup of its membership.
C: Any guidelines the Council wishes to provide.
D: The time at which a final report from the committee shall be returned to
the Council, and said committee is dissolved.
Section 6: All committees of the Council shall present interim reports at each
meeting of the Council (See Article II, Section 6.) In addition to final reports
form special committees (See Article IV, Section 5) each Permanent Committee
shall make a final report of its business as mandated by the appropriate section
of the Bylaws. Final reports from the Committees shall include not only the
opinions of the majority of said committee but also all minority opinions if
significant differences occur.
