The Future

GHIG's mission is to promote international experiences for medical students. Obstacles for many students involve not only finding a project of interest or a mentor willing to advise, but also finding funding. With the ballooning cost of a medical school education, students often find it difficult to go further into debt to pursue an international opportunity. We believe that financial concerns should not prevent medical students from bettering our global community. Our goal is to establish a renewable grant to provide financial assistance for international experiences. We hope to be able to support 100% of all meritorious student proposals for international work.
