Policy

The Educational Media Center has put together this policy as a guide to our digital media services.

  1. Production will not begin without a clear understanding by Educational Media of your expectations. All questions on the “Video Services Questionnaire” must be answered before we begin production.

  2. Educational Media may require a signed release form from the presenter/lecturer stating that they approve of being recorded and have been informed of the recordings use.

  3. Compatibility with stand alone DVD players and computer software can be a problem. We will provide a test media (DVD/CD) to insure compatibility with your equipment and our media products.

  4. Educational Media will archive a copy of the raw footage and/or completed project only upon your request. There may be an additional charge.

  5. You may incur costs that exceed the original estimate if changes or additions are made to the original production.

  6. Customers ordering materials to be copied into any medium must comply with all laws regarding copyright and fair use and with the policies established by their respective institutions. These policies can be found at the following website: http://www.library.tufts.edu/fairuse/ Authors of original works may also consider placing their works in the public domain, as described in the policy. Questions may be referred to Eric Albright, Director of the Health Sciences Library, at 617-636-2481 or to the Technology Transfer Office at 617-636-0360 or 617-636-5640.
