Our lab is interested in basic mechanisms
underlying pattern formation, morphogenesis and organ growth.
We use a combination of approaches to identify critical regulatory
genes that participate in these processes in order to reconstruct
the molecular pathways involved. We currently investigate:
1) Signaling and pattern formation mechanisms operating early
during embryonic development. 2) Tumor suppressor function
in morphogenesis and organ growth. Our work is directly relevant
to the etiology of congenital anomalies and hyperplastic disease
in humans.
