Our research efforts are focused on four topics: 1) the molecular and functional analysis of viral superantigens; 2) the molecular and functional characterization of QPP, a novel serine protease involved in the signaling pathway and apoptosis induction in lymphocytes, 3) identification of an autoantigen involved in Lyme arthritis, and 4) regulation of Bcl-2 family members and associated phosphoproteins during lymphocyte activation. All these projects involve cellular and molecular immunology.
