Control of the Immune Response and Human Disease

Our research efforts are focused on three topics:

1. The molecular and functional analysis of DPP2, a serine protease involved in the maintenance of quiescence in primary cells;

2) The identification of an autoantigen(s) in chronic Lyme arthritis;

3) The molecular and functional analysis of a human endogenous retrovirus, HERV-K18, that encodes a superantigen.

All these projects involve cellular and molecular immunology and genetics.
