D, Harbin Medical University, Heilongjiang, PRC My research interest addresses how aging and nutrients affect immune and inflammatory responses in enterocolitis caused by food-borne pathogens. I am developing animal models to study the effect of aging and dietary intervention on the incidence and severity of infection by Yersinia enterocolitica and Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium in experimental animals. I will use these models to study gut-associated as well as the systemic immune response to infection and nutritional intervention in young and old animals. |
