My research interest is the integrity of bacterial genome and studying the mechanisms by which this genetic information is faithfully replicated and segrates during the cell cycle. I am investigating this issue using Vibrio cholerae, a bacterium that has two chromosomes. My experiments involve using a genetic approach to identify genes involving chromosome segregation in this organism.
