Electrophysiology & Biophysics Core

This core provides equipment for a variety of recording methods, as indicated below. Advice is available from Co-directors of the core, but there is not a core manager, and investigators are expected to perform experiments on their own.

Recording Methods
  • Whole cell current and voltage clamp
  • Single channel recording
  • Tissue slice single cell current and voltage clamp
  • Extracellular field recording

Fees

When available, equipment may be used by investigators, with minimal involvement of facility personnel, at a rate of $15/h ($100/day). The subsidized rate for Tufts neuroscientists is $5/hr ($20/day). Please contact Kim Maguschak for more information.
