Training Program

Pathobiology is a training program based in the Cellular and Molecular Physiology program that trains predoctoral students and postdoctoral fellows who are working with TUSM and Tufts-NEMC faculty members on research projects directly linked to digestive diseases.

Program investigators are studying intracellular trafficking of proteins and lipids in liver and intestinal cells, liver regeneration, control of growth and differentiation in the digestive tract, energy homeostasis, acute pancreatitis, cancer metastasis, and pathogenesis of intestinal microbes.

The mission of the Pathobiology program is to train outstanding biomedical scientists who will take an integrative approach to investigating the molecular mechanisms of human digestive disease.

Our program has funding for 5 predoctoral and 4 postdoctoral trainees.
