Recent Past Predoctoral Trainees

Brenda Eustace (PhD) employed a proteome-wide screen to identify novel proteins involved in cancer metastasis. She is currently a staff scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
Patrick Finn (PhD) studied the role of ketone bodies in starvation-induced activation of hepatic protein degradation. He is now a staff scientist at Genzyme Corporation.
Keith Merdek (PhD) investigated cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion. He is now a postdoctoral fellow working on cell biology of colonic epithelia at UMass Medical Center.
Kari Wojtanik (PhD) studied the role the the Niemann-Pick C1 protein in lipid transport. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow working on adipocyte triglyceride metabolism at NIDDK.

Recent Past Postdoctoral Trainees

Ana Maria Cuervo (MD/PhD) studied how hepatic proteins are targeted to lysosomes for degradation. She is now an Associate Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Parmesh Dutt (PhD) examined the involvement of G proteins in the activation of Rho GTPases. He is now an investigator at NIAID.
