Once again, the Neuroscience Department of Tufts has organized another Ski Trip, this time to the Sugarloaf resort in the Carrabassett Valley of Maine. Thanks to the expert organizational skills of Liz Storer and Christine Graham, the trip has been flawlessly executed for the better part of 5 years.

The Sugarloaf Resort itself, is one of the most respected skiing/board-riding spots in the country. The mountain features 1400 ski-able acres from boundary to boundary and over 54 miles worth of trails split pretty evenly between green, blue, black and double black diamond varieties. Everyone is invited so feel free to invite all your Sackler Friends, out-of-school friends, roommates, significant others, family, friends, PI; absolutely whoever you want!

The Tufts Package Deal

The trip will be held between February 22nd and 24th at the Sugarloaf USA resort in Maine.

The cost will include 2 nights condo lodging (these have up to 5 bedrooms, details still to come), 2 day lift ticket, and, if needed a 90 minute ski/board clinic.

The whole package will cost you only $200, a killer deal for a weekend away in peak season...

Rentals are available on the mountain for $50 for the weekend.

Payment Options

A DEPOSIT, in the form of half the final amount ($100), is due before the Friday the 7th of December and the 2nd PAYMENT (Another $100) is due before the End of January. Alternatively, you can give the WHOLE AMOUNT ($200) before Friday the 7th of December if that would be easier for you.

You have three forms of payment options to choose from:

1) CASH: Give Liz Storer (ARNOLD 305) or Christine Graham (STEARNS 324)an envelope with a list of all the guest's names on the front, their predicted sleeping arrangements (1 bed, same condo... be as helpful as possible!), and the money inside before the dates shown above.

2) CHECK: Write out a check made payable to "Elizabeth Storer" for the amount you'd like to pay (deposit, second $100, or the whole $200), place it in an envelope with the names of each guest included in the payment and their predicted sleeping arrangements, and get it to her before the dates shown above.

3) PAY IN PERSON: Liz and Christine will be holding in person sign-ups on tables set up in the M+V lobby during December 6th and 7th between 1pm and 3pm. Bring your cash and checks with you to secure your spot that way!

From the South (taken from the Sugarloaf Directions Webpage): Take I-95 North to Augusta, Exit 112B (formerly 31B, follow Route 27 North through Farmington and Kingfield, straight to Sugarloaf OR Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to Auburn, exit 75 (formerly 12), follow Route 4 North through Farmington, get on Route 27 North through Kingfield, straight to Sugarloaf.
