HOW TO JOIN

The process to join is rather simple. We ask for a letter of commitment signed by the president, rector or vice-chancellor. The letter should be addressed to President Lawrence Bacow of Tufts University, Chair of the Talloires Network Steering Committee, and sent to the following address:

Talloires Network Secretariat
c/o Innovations in Civic Participation
1776 Massachusetts Avenue, NW
Suite 201
Washington, DC 20036
USA

Please contact the Talloires Network Secretariat to help guide you through the membership process, provide you with additional information and answer any questions you may have about the Network. You can email Elizabeth Babcock, the Talloires Network Coordinator, at babcock@icicp.org or call +001 202-775-0290.

The membership is an umbrella membership, which means that all staff, faculty and students can then participate in the Network and take advantage of any opportunities that arise.

Members of the network commit themselves to action on both individual and collective levels. Members agree to expand and strengthen their civic engagement and social responsibility work through teaching, learning, research, and service. They also agree to share information on their civic engagement policies and programs with the membership of the network.

In order to make the most of your membership in the Network, we ask that you assign a liaison (or several) to work with us on promoting your institution's work and to connect you with other members to work on collaborative projects. We also ask that a link to the Talloires Network homepage be placed on the institution’s website.

There is currently no fee to join the Network.
