- Learning through Serving: A Student Guidebook for Service-Learning across the Disciplines -- Published by Stylus Publishers, this book is intended as a self-directed guide for college-level students who are engaged in service-learning.
- TakingITGlobal's Guides to Action -- The general guide allows young people to go step-by-step from finding inspiration to evaluating a project and ensuring its sustainability. The site also features guides for taking action on HIV/AIDS, climate change, and the Millennium Development Goals.
- The Student Environmental Action Coalition Organizing Guide -- A manual for all angles of student organizing, including starting or reviving a group, group structure, effective meetings, issues, strategy, tactics, an anti-oppression analysis, a resource list and more.

- Lessons Learned on the Road to Student Civic Engagement -- Written by students for students, this slim volume summarizes lessons from Campus Compact's three-year Raise Your Voice campaign, which mobilized hundreds of thousands of students to engage in service and civic action.
