NSF Award Number 9976429

Project Description

Tufts University has been awarded a "High Performance Connections" grant, based on its submission to NSF dated January 31, 1999. NSF's grant award to Tufts will support Tufts' participation in the high performance networking community. NSF funds will be used to defray the cost of Tufts' connection to the new national network. In turn, Tufts will provide matching funds to upgrade the campus network and to upgrade the connections between its three campuses. For a detailed description of the Tufts Advanced Network Project, please review the proposal document as submitted to NSF entitled High Performance Network Connection in Support of Meritorious Research at Tufts University (viewable as a PDF file, which requires Adobe's Acrobat Reader on your desktop computer). The Principal Investigator on this project is Dr. Bruce A. Metz, Vice President for Information Technology at Tufts.
