Article V

COMMITTEES AND BOARDS OF OVERSEERS

5.14  BOARDS OF OVERSEERS.  Boards of Overseers may be appointed for the various schools, departments and functions of the University.  Members of any such Boards of Overseers shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees or the Executive Committee, and the Trustee Executive Committee shall accept the minutes of Boards of Overseers meetings.  It shall be the duty of each such Board of Overseers to advise and assist the school, department or function to which its appointment relates, and to advocate on its behalf.  The Overseers should make needed visits and reviews and report thereon to the Board of Trustees or the Executive Committee with such suggestions as it may deem desirable.  Membership on such Board of Overseers shall not necessarily be limited to members of the Board of Trustees.
