Article IX

ACADEMIC APPOINTMENTS

9.3 OTHER APPOINTMENTS. All academic appointments without tenure of the rank of Associate Professor and below shall be made by the President of the University or such other persons as the President shall designate. The President of the University shall also make all appointments of Associate and Assistant Provosts, Deans other than those specified in Section 8.1 of these Bylaws, Associate and Assistant Deans, full-time research faculty, emeritus professors, and department chairs and report such appointments to the Academic Affairs Committee.
