ABBY F. KOHNSTAMM

 

Abby F. Kohnstamm is the President and founder of Abby F. Kohnstamm & Associates, Inc., a marketing and consulting firm. Prior to establishing her company, Ms. Kohnstamm served as Senior Vice President, Marketing of IBM Corporation from 1993 through 2005. In that capacity, she had overall responsibility for all aspects of marketing across IBM. Ms. Kohnstamm remains an executive consultant to IBM. In addition, Ms. Kohnstamm held senior marketing positions at American Express from 1979 through 1993.

Ms. Kohnstamm is a member of the Board of Directors of Tiffany & Co. and The Progressive Corporation. She also served two terms on the Board of Overseers for New York University's Stern School of Business.

After graduating from Tufts University in 1975, Ms. Kohnstamm earned two degrees from New York University, an M.A. in 1977 and an M.B.A. in 1979. She was elected to the Tufts Board of Trustees in 1999 and currently serves on the Executive Committee, the Committee for University Advancement and the Committee on Trusteeship. She chairs the Board of Overseers for the Arts and Sciences and the Council of Boards of Overseers.
