About Us
Tufts recycles! is a program of the Facilities Department which was started by students in 1990. We work closely with the custodial staff OneSource, and our recycling contractors Conigliaro Industries and Save That Stuff to ensure that recycling at Tufts is carried out to its fullest potential. Our goal is to be at the forefront of new innovations that promote the wise use and conservation of resources. Currently we are focusing on improving campus wide recycling through the nationwide competition RecycleMania, considering single stream recycling for the School of Dental Medicine, aiming to divert more paper from the trash, expanding composting & surplus reuse, and looking toward a time when all of our campuses will be “zero waste”.
