The Process for Small Houses

This year, Jumbo Drop boxes will not be placed in most small residential houses**. Instead, we are asking that you bag up your donations and label the materials with "Donated to Jumbo Drop" stickers. We will come around to collect the donations at the end of the semester. We have done this at smaller places such as the Start House and 10 Winthrop Street and it has worked well.

The donation stickers have been distributed to your house. Check your front door for the packet. If your packet is missing (maybe a housemate moved it somewhere), feel free to leave your things with a note marking them as a Jumbo Drop donation.

***The reason for the switch is that the boxes are time consuming and cumbersome to distribute and collect. The time is worth it when everyone uses the boxes and the only work for our crew is to empty them. In the small houses many people do not participate in the project because ResLife staff are not monitoring the building. Lack of participation means that we must go through each room and collect things even when a box is present; in this case the boxes do not save us time but rather are a burden on our small staff.
