RecycleMania 2009! 1/18-3/28

Get in the game- recycle strong: The country is watching and Tufts is counting on you. Look at how much fun they're having... this could be you... join the mania!

What is RecycleMania, you might ask? Every spring semester since 2005 Tufts, has competed in this 10 weeklong competition to see which school is the biggest reducer of waste (see the rules and categories). To make our push toward #1 we're going to need your help! That means that every time you go to throw something away ask yourself could I recycle it instead?

While many, many things from bottles, cans, metals, many plastics, and even electronics can be recycled, our handy stats and figures show that paper waste still makes up the most weight out of the recyclables in our trash bins. So hey, if you don't like the grade on a paper you can recycle it and someday you could get a shiny "A" on literally that same paper. Recycling is like a second lease on life.

And for the love of all that is sacred, could we not lose to B.C. and Williams again this year?!
