Open House
The students, faculty and staff of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University would like to invite you and your family to our annual Open House. All are welcome to attend the Cummings School Open House which is held the first Saturday in September after Labor Day from 11am to 3pm.
Directions to the Cummings School campus can be found on the Visitor Information page along with an online campus map for your convenience.
For safety reasons we do kindly ask that all pets be left at home.
Our open House is the Cummings School community's opportunity to share the joys of our profession with the public and provides a chance for those interested to get a closer look at veterinary medicine. The Open House offers a wide range of activities for you to enjoy, such as:
- Self Guided Tours
- Walk through the Foster Hospital for Small Animals, Hospital for Large Animals and our campus farm to see how a veterinary school functions on a daily basis.
- Dog Demonstrations
- Watch police, assistance and carting dogs demonstrate the training required of them, as well as a dog agility exhibition.
- Teddy Bear Clinic
- Bring your injured teddy bears and other friends to the teddy bear clinic for a quick bandage or to repair a tear and leave with a lollipop for yourself.
- Veterinary Exhibits
- Educational demonstrations including small animal ultrasound demonstration and a hands-on laboratory exhibit.
- Farm Animals
- Self guided walking tour of our campus farm. See piglets, sheep, cows and horses.
