Choosing the Cummings School

I chose Tufts because of its reputation for offering students something more than a traditional degree in veterinary medicine. Through their signature opportunities, Tufts allows students the opportunity to stretch the traditional boundaries of the field and explore new areas of emerging interest and importance. The faculty at Tufts is very well known and extremely capable. The fact that Tufts receives more money from direct NIH funding than any other veterinary school in the country bears testament to their commitment to enhancing the reputation of the school and their students' experience in the classroom. The interaction between students and the faculty seems to foster both student growth and independence. As an undergrad at Tufts, I was always amazed at the richness of cultural diversity around me. The veterinary school seems to be carrying on this tradition with great success and I look forward to learning more about myself through the unique backgrounds of my classmates.
