Sarah Bronko Student Profile
Choosing the Cummings School
I chose Tufts because of the school's enthusiasm for my non-traditional undergraduate curriculum, because of the flexibility offered by the Tufts curriculum, and because of the supportive and welcoming atmosphere at Tufts.
Education
- Bachelor of Arts in Classics, Brown University, Providence, RI (2008)
Career Goals
My career goals are to eventually own my own practice and to build a reputation as a very good veterinarian, whether that be as a small animal doctor, mixed-practice doctor, or perhaps as an orthopedic surgeon. I am eager to explore further the different aspects of veterinary medicine and determine which fields suit me best.
Looking Forward to First Year
The most exciting thing about my first year as a vet student is all of the practical knowledge I know that I will gain. During my first year, I am most nervous about balancing the intensive course load with the other activities that I enjoy.
Are You Ready?
I took a gap year
between undergrad and the beginning of veterinary school and, consequently, I feel very refreshed and ready for the start of classes in August.
Telling Everyone
Telling people that I got into vet school was a gradual process, but the people closest to me and those who supported my application knew right away.
