Adult Program Adventures in Veterinary Medicine
Overview of Program
Do you enjoy science and have an interest in working with animals? Have you been out of school for a few years, and are now reconsidering your career choices? Are you thinking seriously about making a change? Has veterinary medicine always interested you as a possible career, and you want to know if it's the right next step?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions, then Adventures In Veterinary Medicine is the right program for you. Join other bright, motivated people in experiencing a fun and interesting week on the campus of one of the finest veterinary schools in the country. You will hear lectures from clinical faculty and have the chance to discuss the realities of a veterinary education with current vet students. You will shadow fourth year students as they perform their medicine and surgery rotations, giving you a firsthand look at the demands of a veterinary medical education.
You will have a chance to meet with the admissions and financial aid staff to get a realistic picture of where you are financially and how to strengthen your credentials for admission. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and will discover what criteria are considered by an admissions committee at a selective veterinary school.
Who Should Attend? The Adult Career Exploration Program at Adventures in Veterinary Medicine is available to college graduates and adults over 23 years of age.
