The role of the media in framing public understanding

HARC has reviewed hundreds of media reports, and has identified common themes in how animal hoarding stories are reported. Understanding this pattern may be helpful for shelters or other community agencies when they must develop a public relations strategy to explain hoarding cases in a public forum.
