Department of Environmental and Population Health
The Department of Environmental and Population Health (DEPH) is a blend of clinicians, basic scientists and field researchers. This diverse group of core and extended faculty has common interests and goals. The common threads of these interests are first, the preservation of the delicate balance between humans, animals, and their shared environments; and second, the promotion of the well being of groups of animals and their caretakers. Members of this department work with all animals, be they wild, captive, companion, or food and fiber. They carry on their pursuits locally, nationally and internationally. Not surprisingly, they are thoroughly immersed within these fields in the traditional triad of academic pursuits: teaching, service and research.
