The Molecular Helminthology Laboratory at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is run jointly by Dr. Patrick Skelly and Dr. Charles Shoemaker.
The lab exploits modern molecular biology tools to investigate primarily the interaction of helminth parasites with their hosts.
The laboratory is currently engaged in a variety of projects involving worms of medical and veterinary importance that belong to two major phyla - the Platyhelminthes and the Nematoda.
