DVM/MPH Elective Courses
Elective courses are available for third and fourth year students during two four-week periods generally starting the last week of March and ending the third week in April. Individual elective courses are offered, at most, once every two years. Usually six or seven electives are offered each spring, although course offerings in any given year may vary. Below are some examples of courses that have been taught in the past.
DVM/MPH students also have the opportunity to use the summer between years 2 and 3 to take evening elective MPH courses on the Boston Campus, enabling them to free up one of their four-week MPH blocks and giving them more flexibility in their DVM rotations. Students interested in taking summer classes should contact the Program Director for approval and more information. In addition, students should be aware that the summer course offerings may be limited.
