By Area

The following is a list of general research interests and activities of TCSVM faculty by their research area.

By Organ System and Disease

Research into organ systems and diseases is carried out primarily in the Department of Clinical Sciences. Because many domestic animals have spontaneous disease that closely mimics the same disease in humans, pre-clinical and clinical trials often take place in our animal hospitals. Much like human clinical trials, these studies are carried out under the approval and oversight of the Cummings School Clinical Studies Review Committee, as subset of our Animal Welfare Committee. Owners enroll their animals under a detailed informed consent into these studies.
