The Spring Event fundraising subcommittee organizes the biggest SCAVMA fundraiser of the year. While in past years this has been an auction event, we are putting together the Tufts' Paws and Pals Health Day in 2007. The event will consist of a dog marathon, a human marathon, various contests and demonstrations, food, and much more! In addition to supporting SCAVMA events, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Stanley O. Travis Fund, a fund established at TUSVM to assist responsible owners who are unable to meet the full cost of unexpected, necessary veterinary care. Members of this committee will be responsible for requesting financial support from local businesses, coordinating refreshments, advertising sufficiently, preparing a program, and any other duties deemed pertinent.
