The Public Relations Committee functions to increase the communication of Tufts SCAVMA within as well as outside the Grafton campus. This committee will inform incoming students about SCAVMA in the summer through a letter to the first years. The chairs of this committee attend the Alumni Relations Meetings at Tufts and report back to the SCAVMA executive board the proceedings of the meeting. Members of this committee will be in charge of updating the SCAVMA bulletin board as well as creating and posting flyers to promote upcoming SCAVMA events. An annual Alumni Reception will be hosted by this committee on Alumni Weekend. Lastly, the Public Relations Committee will be in charge of creating and maintaining a relationship with the various New England State Veterinary Medical Associations.
