HOW TO BECOME A SCAVMA MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING
  1. Pay annual $35 membership dues.
  2. Serve on a SCAVMA Committee for two years and fulfill delegated duties.
  3. Participate in the Spring Fundraising Event.
  4. Attend SCAVMA meetings.
  5. Must be a member for the last two years prior to graduation in order to attain maximum benefits of the AVMA.
SCAVMA Membership Benefits

Eligible for the Following AVMA Benefits:

  1. SCAVMA subscription rates to the Journal of the AVMA (JAVMA) and the American Journal of Veterinary Research (AJVR)
    • JAVMA for $40/yr
    • AJVR for $40/yr
  2. Free advanced registration to the annual AVMA meeting, and reduced registration for all other AVMA symposiums.
  3. Access to the AVMA Auxiliary Student Loan Fund (up to $8000) as well as the AVM Foundation scholarship

  7. Reduced membership rates to the AVMA for the following 2 years after graduation (saving up to $175 over 3 years).
