"Supporting pets whose caring owners cannot afford veterinary care"
About the Fundraiser
A portion of the proceeds from the Spring Fundraiser will be donated to the Dr. Stanley O. Travis Fund. The Travis Fund is an un-endowed fund established in honor of Dr. Travis, a local small animal practitioner who died in 1983 at the age of 48. The purpose of this allocation is to finance medical treatment for sick pets whose caring and responsible owners are unable to afford sophisticated medical procedures. The second half of the proceeds is deposited in the Tufts Student Chapter of American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA) account. This money supports SCAVMA-funded activities such as professional development lectures, national board preparation sessions, workshops and trips to the annual SAVMA Symposium.
