Every year during spring break, one of the US veterinary colleges hosts the Student AVMA symposium. Last year, the symposium was hosted by LSU on March 21-23, 2013. SCAVMA helps defray the costs to members attending through fundraising events. This affords veterinary students the opportunity to attend various seminars and wet labs, interact with students from other schools, and compete in academic and athletic events.
Next year, Colorado State will host the symposium on March 20-22, 2014.
