  • If you pick up a fresh bird carcass - please freeze it and/or bring it to the closest facility with a freezer:

  • If you find a live injured bird, be careful - pick up a bird only with adequate protection (gloves, pillow case for covering bird)! It is probably most advisable to contact local wildlife rehabilitators near you:

    • Cape Neddick, ME - Center for Wildlife at 207-361-1400

  • For marine mammal strandings (live and dead):

    • Report stranded or dead marine mammals to Marine Animal Lifeline at 207-851-6625

     

  • If you find oil on or near the beach contact:

    • The state hotline: NH State Police Hazardous Materials # 1-800-346-4009
