Tufts Institute of the Environment (TIE): TIE is an interdisciplinary, university-wide education and research institute which facilitates and coordinates environmental programs at the University. TIE is devoted to advancing and disseminating knowledge about the many ways human interactions affect the environment. TIE focuses on environmental research, technology, policy development and education, recognizing the interdependence of human welfare, animal health, and ecological integrity.

Tufts Climate Initiative (TCI): TCI is the pioneer in the field of climate change mitigation at institutions of higher learning. Tufts University was among the very first to make sustainability a high priority in its teaching, planning, and operations. TCI is continuing this tradition of being a forerunner by choosing the ambitious approach of fostering change on a university wide level. In 2005, Tufts and TCI won the prestigious EPA Climate Protection Award.

EcoLinkUp: EcoLinkUp is an online communication and collaboration tool dedicated to connecting Tufts University's Environmental Community and beyond. It provides Tufts' faculty, staff, students, alumni and external partners with a way to participate in university-wide environmental interdisciplinary research, education, citizenship, and outreach programs.

Center for International Environmental and Resource Policy (CIERP) at The Fletcher Schoool: Established in 1990 to support the growing demand for international environmental leaders, the Center for Environmental and Resource Policy, CIERP, provides an interdisciplinary approach to educate graduate students at The Fletcher School.

EPIIC:Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship, An exciting example of educational innovation in the Experimental College is EPIIC (Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship). EPIIC offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the study of major global issue and then to plan and run a weekend symposium which brings together scholars and practitioners who are leading figures in the field.

The Interuniversity Transboundary Water Management and Negotiaion Group: The Interuniversity Transboundary Water Management and Negotiation Group’s mission is to collect, organize, discuss and disseminate ideas and information in the field of transboundary water resources. The group strives to foster interaction among the Boston area university communities interested in transboundary water issues, as well as within the greater water resources community.

CUAHSI: Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, The Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science (CUAHSI) is an organization representing more than a hundred U.S. universities, sponsored by the National Science Foundation to develop infrastructure and services for the advancement of hydrologic science and education in the United States.
