Dear Friends,

I am happy to bring you the spring 2005 edition of e-Extreme newsletter. This is my last issue as the managing editor, and I would like to thank all of you for the kind responses and wonderful feedback which I have received from you over the last two years.

This is a wonderful opportunity for me to thank Roger Eatwell and Cas Mudde for inviting me to become the editor and for offering their help and support every time I needed it. Working with Cas and Jennifer Holmes as co-editors was a unique experience. Thanks to modern technology and despite the distance between Haifa, Antwerp and Dallas, we communicated on a regular basis, worked closely together on each issue, and enjoyed a very lively virtual working environment.

The one person who was literally by my side was Yael Krivoy. Yael, a brilliant Master’s student at the University of Haifa, took a large part of the burden on her shoulders. Thanks to her commitment we were able to post each issue of the newsletter on time and to maintain its quality. I am really grateful for having the opportunity to work with these wonderful people.

I would like to wish the new editorial team led by Jennifer the best of luck in expanding the newsletter in new directions and increasing its exposure. I will remain a devoted reader.
