Dear Colleagues,

 

Welcome to the summer 2005 e-Extreme newsletter.  It is quite an honor to take over as managing editor.  Working with Ami, Cas, and Yael the past few years has been incredibly productive and pleasant.   They are wonderful friends and exemplary colleagues who have set a high example of professionalism for us to follow.  

In this issue, we have maintained the basic structure of the newsletter.  As always, I welcome suggestions or feedback about about improving the newsletter.  Continuing the success of the past, to a great extent, depends on the information that members and other interested readers submit. 

Please join me in welcoming new editors William M. Downs of Georgia State and Nigel Copsey of the University of Teesside and thanking them for their hard work in this issue.  We are considering expanding the newsletter to include an occasional series of short articles about little-known extremist events, actors, etc. that have recently made the news and other analyses of controversies in the field.
