Teaching
At Tufts, I teach environmental economics and statistics. I recently received the 2007 UNITE Award, awarded annually to a junior faculty member who demonstrates excellence in teaching and advising, concern for students' academic and personal growth, and the ability to convey a passion and enthusiasm for their field of study.
Research
My research examines how the design of environmental policy affects economic incentives of both firms and consumers. I investigate how, and how well, government programs induce environmental protection. Results indicate how to improve the design of environmental policy in the future. Areas of specific interest include advisories and information policies, monitoring and enforcement, corporate environmental performance, and water policy.
