HomeSmallArrow The EU's Main Public Opinion Page

This page contains a detailed summary of the EU's public opinion polling in Western Europe, as well as Central and Eastern Europe. It also has links to surveys of "elites" (top decision-makers).

HomeSmallArrow The EU's standard bi-annual Eurobarometer

This page has detailed textual, graphical, and tabular material for Eurobarometers 43-47 (1995 thru 1997). At the bottom of the page, you will also find some very interesting surveys on such topics as "youth in Europe" and "European Citizens and the Euro".

HomeSmallArrow The EU's monthly Continuous Tracking Survey (Europinion)

In 1994, the EU began monitoring opinion on a monthly basis, and this page contains the results of these monthly surveys for 1994-present. Note also some special reports at bottom of the page.

HomeSmallArrow The University of Mannheim-ZEUS Historical Archive of Eurobarometer data

HomeSmallArrow The Zentralarchiv at the University of Cologne

The Zentralarchiv is the "headquarter" archive for Eurobarometer surveys. This main page is worth careful study, as it includes just about all there is to know about these surveys. In addition, you should peruse the following:

Codebook search: you can search to find if certain questions have been asked in particular.
      Eurobarometers, from 1992-1994.
Web Links to other sites dealing with Eurobarometer
Eurobarometer Trends: a guide to questions that have been asked many times over the past 25 years.

Note: this site is of course available to everyone. However, if you are in North America, and you want to order any datasets for further analysis, please contact the ICPSR.

HomeSmallArrow Every Survey Archive in Europe arranged by country

This link will take you to survey archives in individual countries, including some in Eastern Europe. Some, but not all, of these archives allow you to search and retrieve results online (for example, a great question on how much Spaniards fear snakes!). Others will allow you to search about the survey’s availability, but you must take further steps to order them.
