The long term goals of our research laboratory are to develop therapies for age related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinitis pigmentosa (RP).  In addition, we have a significant interest in the development of viral and non-viral gene transfer technologies. In January 2011 our laboratory is also going to begin developing genetic therapies for diabetic retinopathy.
